Neurotransmitters

What Are  Neurotransmitters? Neurotransmitters  are  endogenous   chemical  messenger which transmits signals across a  chemical synapse  from one  neuron  (nerve cell) to another 'target' neuron,  muscle cell , or  gland cell .  Many neurotransmitters are synthesized from simple and plentiful precursors such as  amino acids , which are readily available and only require a small number of  biosynthetic  steps for conversion.  Neurotransmitters are released from  synaptic vesicles  in synapses into the  synaptic cleft , where they are received by  neurotransmitter receptors  on the target cell. They  are essential to the function of complex neural systems. The exact number of unique neurotransmitters in humans is unknown, but more than 200 have been identified. Neurotransmitters are often referred to as the body’s chemical messengers. They are the molecules used...

Central nervous system stimulants

Central Nervous System Stimulants. What Is The Central Nervous Systems? The central nervous system is made up of the brain and spinal cord. The brain plays a central role in the control of most bodily functions, including awareness, movements, sensations, thoughts, speech, and memory. Some reflex movements can occur via spinal cord pathways without the participation of brain structures. The central nervous system is also said to control most functions of the  body   and mind. It consists of two parts: the brain and the spinal cord. The brain is the center of our thoughts, the interpreter of our external environment, and the origin of control over   body   movement. What Are Stimulants? Stimulants   (also often referred to as   psychostimulants   or colloquially as   uppers ) is an overarching term that covers many   drugs   including those that increase the activity of the   central nervous system ...

Cocaine Production And Distribution.

Image
Cocaine Production. The Cocaine industry has witnessed a boom in the last recent years, due to the massive production of cocaine by some famous South American cocaine-producing countries such as Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, and Chile.  The drug  cocaine  is produced from the leaves of the  coca plant , which is an ancestral cash crop to many South American countries.  Cocaine Production  involves a series of very interesting and industrious processes which will be explained in the paragraphs below. Cocaine is manufactured in these countries in clandestine laboratories with a number of different chemicals and then trafficked through South and Central America to Mexico to be smuggled into the United States and other parts of the world. The vast majority of cocaine production occurs mostly in Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia because these countries are the main places where the coca plant  is cultivated naturally and in sufficient quantities...
